The growing concerns about the economy, the environment and societal over-indulgence, have spawned a variety of "one-dress" dressing experiments. Someone wears the same dress every day for a period of time, and changes her look by accessorizing.  Watch our VIDEO and follow the GIrlz as they embark on their own 31 day experiment.

In this country of abundant reasonably priced clothing, it may seem silly to undergo this ritual. But learning how to dress with as few major pieces as possible can be beneficial. It could make packing for a trip a lot lighter. It can save money, and make getting dressed every day easier.

A woman in Seattle made her own brown dress that she wore for a year as a protest against over-consumption and to

bring attention to the environmental issues. See more of her story at http://www.littlebrowndress.com. A woman in New York is currently wearing the same style of black dress (she has 7 such dresses) for a year to show how one dress can be accessorized differently. Her mission is to raise awareness for the Akanksha Foundation devoted to the strengthening of education within the slums of Mumbai. Another women had a denim dress designed that she wore for a month, and in Dallas, a stylist wore a simple black dress made by a local designer. Since we are located in Dallas, we decided to find out more, and took a road trip to Elli Grace at the Willow Bend shopping mall. We tried on the dress, and interviewed the designers.

31 Days - Visit GNG Daily, Vote, Win - Beginning October 31st!
We thought it would be fun to see how the four of us - with four different styles and body types - would do with a similar challenge. There are even some events at which we will all be present in our dresses. Pictures of our looks will be posted during November, and you can vote for the one you like best. Your votes will determine the best style created by each of the girlz. Those four styles will be featured in the final poll. Each time you vote, your name goes into a drawing to win the same style Elli Grace dress we've been wearing for 31 days and $150 worth of accessories. Be sure to follow the daily action as the four Good News Girlz founders take up the challenge and wear the little black dress for the month of November.
