Day 1 - The Black Dress

I needed something chic but easy to wear for a long day of styling clients. I chose a sheer black long sleeve t-shirt paired with a vintage Ann Demeulemeister soft pant and Steve Madden animal hair wedge. The necklaces are also vintage. The earrings are some of my favorites I bought from Tootsies for a girlfriend's 50th bday in Carmel.	I wore the dress with black leggings and an orange scarf for Halloween colors. It was comfortable and fun!	Saturdays are casual, so I paired the dress with jeans, a silver tank, and casual sweater.  My jewelry is silver earrings and a collection of silver chains.  Comfortable black flats for my feet.	Running errands on Halloween! I picked ultra comfy loafers so my feet would hold up all day and orange-ish tights for Halloween and Fall.

Harriet: Styling clothes has been my life's work and it will be fun to share the journey with the other GoodNewsGirlz. How do you make the same dress work for you for 31days? No problem! Accessorizing is so much fun. It's like having a new blank canvas every day. You can add color, sparkle, and excitement. The LBD is the perfect way to  showcase your favorite jewelry, shoes and scarves while highlighting your own personality.

Judy:  I love uniforms. One of my earliest memories is of my mother ironing my father's fatigues. Dad was in the army and he left every day wearing very cool uniforms with very cool medals and insignia. Our dress from Elli Grace doesn't come with insignia, but it is very cool and very easy.

Karla:  I'm the Mikey in the group - I'll say 'yes' to almost anything.  And, then wonder later if I'm crazy.  I'm also the rule maker.  So we 'agreed' on some rules for our 31 day experiment.  The rules are simple; for 31 days we have to wear the dress whenever we go out, except if we are exercising.  We don't have to wear it around the house, but if we stay home all day we have to put an outfit together and take our picture.

Tamara:  I'm probably the least excited about this project. It's getting cold outside and I have to layer the dress with something over or under it every day. Jumpers have never been my friend. On the bright side, I like black, and I have some really awesome sweaters and belts that don't often get to see the light of day. Plus, this will give me a chance to be more creative than my usual t-shirt and blue jean fare. Should be an interesting month!
