Day 19 - Sur La Pont D'Avignon

Fabulous day touring Avignon. We visited the Pope's Palace and learned more than anyone ever really needs to know about the popes in exile. We had coffee with the truckers in a shady little cafe off the square. Then we went to see the bridge. I grew up singing the song about the bridge at Avignon and thought everyone had, but it turns out that the other people in our van know Frere Jacque and that's it. So I was the only one in our party dancing on the bridge, but there were lots of other visitors who knew the words and the moves. The LBD was dashing with a rust colored sweater over, tights, and boots.

Our new home for the next days is a B&B in Brignoles. Very nice place where we are practicing our French with the other guests. It's fun but slow going.
