Who are the Good News Girlz?

Good News Girlz are busy women (and men) who are engaged in the community and want to have a positive impact in the world. They have - or desire - a "glass is half-full" perspective, and embrace the wisdom and opportunities that being 20, 30, 40, 50 or 60 brings. They are passionate about learning new ways to embrace the best life has to offer and serving their communities - all with a good, clean, sexy and fun twist.

"The truth is, there's more good news in the world than bad. It's all a matter of focus and mindset. If we choose to focus on the goodness - good news - in the world, and in our lives, we notice more, create more and send out and receive more in return. It's the law of attraction. That's what Good News Girlz is all about," said Harriet Kelly, Good News Girlz co-founder.

Background

Four unique and talented Dallas women, a former model/actress, tech exec and two attorneys, put their heads together with a good idea in February 2009. After Harriet Kelly introduced the idea-one they all thought but had not vocalized-the founders came together through a mutual entrepreneurial spirit and a desire for a more positive outlet for news and information. They were tired of the fear-based news media. Their aspiration to thrive in this economy and share valuable information led to the creation of the Good News Girlz. They incorporated Good News Girlz a month later.

Currently funded by the four founders, Good News Girlz will soon launch Marketz, an online marketplace featuring Good News Girlz products and other vendors' products and services, and is exploring advertising and click-throughs. Planning is also underway for a symposium entitled "Good News Girlz Behaving Boldly" to be held in 2010.
