We're looking for those movies you love that haven't been seen by most people you know. This week two GNG members write about their chices for great, but little known movies. Share your favorite, underappreciated films with us. Send a short paragraph that tells enough about the film to make us want to hunt it down.

Karen: One of my favorite films is No Way Out, released in 1987 without much buzz. This Cold War movie set at the Pentagon has it all - romantic chemistry between a gorgeous, sexy, and cute (great combo) Sean Young and a young Kevin Costner; riveting suspense; and a jaw dropping ending. Gene Hackman, playing a powerful politician, adds to the drama. Put all this together and you get a well acted, sexy thriller with an intelligent plot.
It deserves that illusive hype.

Claire: Diva is a fast-moving, humorous, thriller with a love story and a haunting theme sung by Wilhelmenia Wiggins Fernandez. I first saw it in 1981 when it was released in the U.S. and caught it again when it was digitized and re-released on its twentieth anniversary. Every aspect of the film held up for me.

The reclusive Diva, played by African American opera singer, Fernandez, refuses to record her music, and Jules, her fan, a young postman in Paris, makes a bootleg tape of her performance. That one tape would be enough to cause trouble for Jules, but to make things funnier and wackier, there's another tape dropped into his messenger bag by a prostitute just before she's killed. There are Taiwanese thugs, dirty cops, and a Vespa chase through the Paris Metro to keep things moving.
