1 cup butter or margarine (2 sticks) 1 cup sugar 1 1/2 cups flour 2 eggs (well beaten) 1 cup chopped nuts (I usually use pecans or walnuts) 1 tsp. vanilla 1/2 tsp. salt Blend sugar and butter together. Add well beaten eggs. Sift in flour and salt. Add nuts. Add vanilla. Mix until smooth and light. Drop spoonful onto greased baking sheets spaced well apart (or use parchment paper). Place 1/2 (or 1 whole) nut on top of each cookie. Bake in oven at 375 degrees about 7-10 mins. Take out when edges are light brown. |
